We’re proud to announce that our new beatboxing program for blind students has launched at the Lavelle School for the Blind in the Bronx!

Featuring top NYC beatboxing talent as instructors including Taylor McFerrin, Adam Matta, Chesney Snow, as well as a number of guest beatboxers and musicians, the program runs twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the middle of the school day for the next ten weeks and culminating in a grand final performance by the students in front of the entire school. The classes will teach the students the fundamentals of beatboxing and improvisation, with an introduction to music production and composition. The program aims to give blind kids the ability to make music anywhere, anytime, just with the power of their own voices.
